# Groundhog AI Coding Assistant Groundhog's primary purpose is to teach people how Cursor and all these other coding agents work under the hood. If you understand how these coding assistants work from first principles, then you can drive these tools harder (or perhaps make your own!). As part of the series kicked off at http://ghuntley.com/specs we'll be building it together, increment by increment. Please don't raise GitHub issues mentioning that XYZ does not work as I'm yet to decide on the community model around the project and doing customer support for free is not high up on my list. _Groundhog is a teaching tool first_.
