VRCT is software that supports conversations between people who speak different languages by providing chat or voice translation. These features are designed for use within VRChat. *Although not supported, it is also used for other purposes such as watching movies.

VRCT collects anonymous telemetry data via Aptabase to help improve the app. The collected data includes app starts, session duration, and feature usage. No personally identifiable information is collected.
You can opt out of telemetry in the app settings at any time. See the Aptabase Privacy Policy for more details.
VRCT is released under the MIT License, with one exception: the
chat-bubble detection model used by the OCR feature
(src-python/models/ocr/onnx/chatbox_yolox_tiny.onnx) is covered by a
VRCT-only license. You may run it as part of VRCT, and in a fork while
you develop, test or contribute to VRCT — forking the repository with the
model inside it is fine. You may not ship it in a fork's own release, use
it in unrelated software, redistribute it on its own, or derive models from
it. See LICENSE.en.txt for
the terms and NOTICE.md for the scope. VRCT builds and runs
without the model; only chat-bubble detection becomes unavailable, and the
training procedure is published in
docs/ocr_yolo_training.md.
