Open the launcher and type an app name, a file name, or a question. Launch apps, jump to browser tabs, and search inside files without first deciding where to look.

Do a quick calculation. Work out a discount, split a bill, or convert a number. Results appear as you type, ready to copy.

Go straight to a tool. Type clip to search clipboard history, note to create an Apple Note, or remind to add a reminder. Type prefix to browse available keywords, or create your own for recurring tasks.

Write emails, reply to messages, or capture an idea: hold your voice shortcut, speak, and release to insert the text into your current app. See a live transcript as you talk. Select existing text and say “make this shorter” or “translate into English” to revise it in place.
Choose different writing styles for work emails and casual conversations. Pick where voice input appears, too:

Hold the Ring shortcut, move toward an action, and release to run it. Translate selected text, start dictation, take a screenshot, or open your clipboard without moving back to the keyboard. Customize the Ring and give different apps their own actions.

That link from a moment ago, yesterday’s text, a reply you use often: search, preview, and paste it into your current app. Clipboard history supports text, links, images, and files. Pin important items and save reusable snippets separately.

Capture a region, a window, or the whole screen—even a long scrolling page. Add arrows, shapes, step numbers, and mosaic redaction, then copy or save to share. Extract text from images, translate it, or ask AI about what you captured.

Start a conversation from the launcher with a file, screenshot, or selected text. Ask AI to research, organize information, translate, or write. It can also work with files in folders you authorize and operate apps to carry out a task.
A built-in browser, conversation history, and notebooks keep your research and work together. Save recurring tasks as instructions or workflows, then call them with a keyword next time.

- Shortcuts and appearance: customize shortcuts and keywords, choose light or dark mode, and pick an interface style.
- Local or cloud: run speech recognition offline on your Mac, or choose a cloud service. Use Typeflux Cloud or your preferred AI provider.
- You control permissions: by default, AI asks before changing files or running commands.
The Typeflux app is free and open source. Cloud services may incur charges. When you use a remote model, the voice or text you submit is sent to your chosen provider.
